I’m honoured that my song Hey Traveller has been shortlisted for the final of the Last Choir Singing Competition. This gave me an excuse to head back to the Lancashire hills and be back on home turf for a while. (A place where there has been outrage locally as the average price of a pint has reached £3!!!!!! *%@!)
Had a great time at Radio Lancashire yesterday afternoon and for the first time since secondary school days (St Wilfrid’s) set foot in Blackburn. Couldn’t resist the opportunity to wear a shirt with just a little bit of Claret & Blue in it which I believe looked great on radio!
Truly a treat was to hear one of my songs performed by the impressive Duncan Heather on vocals and Drew on guitar.
6 songs shortlisted and now it goes to a vote. The winning song will be performed by all the choirs in the final competition at King George’s Hall, Blackburn next year.
There’s an emotional and inspiring back story to this song which you can hear all about in my interview with Radio Lancashire (my interview starts at 2:33:01). You can also find more information about Dan Eley and his story here.
THEN I NEED YOU TO VOTE!
Follow the links here to the Last Choir Singing site and please give the song a bit of support.
I’m proud of it. I hope you like it.
There isn’t much time so gimme that vote folks.
